Testimonies: Vol. 1

…The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy Revelation 19:10b

Whenever you tell of what Jesus did you are releasing that testimony, and setting
an atmosphere for it to happen again. That’s how I grasp the verse/concept anyway.

I want to start documenting here the miracles that I see in my own life, and the
lives of those close to me:

So here are a few that I can remember.

1) The first miracle that I saw first hand was at Living Hope Church about
2 years ago. Sue and I and some others from the church gathered
around a woman who had had a lot of problems with her guts. She
had ulcers and she was telling us about an intense stabbing pain in her hip.

I didn’t really know how to pray, but all I know is that I prayed really really hard
that God would heal her, and he did. After the group prayed and laid hands on
her she was completely delivered of all of the pain and health issues. She started
jumping up and down and praising God (sound familiar?)

She also told us a week or two later that she’d been checked out by the doctors
and gotten x-rays and whatnot, but there was no trace of the issues.

Praise God aye?

2)Then there was a lady the other wednesday at Prayer Centre at the
LHC Orchards campus. She has had a tumor somewhere in her brain that was
messing with her vision. A few of us laid hands on her and prayed for her. One
of the girls praying reported that as we were praying she saw (in the Spirit) the tumor shrinking.
As far as I know it has now completely dissolved.

3)Just this past wednesday Jesus also healed a man under the big top tent that was
put up for Easter. His wife told me he was having pain in his arm. I put my hands on his shoulder and arm and commanded the pain to leave and asked Jesus to touch him and restore his arm.
Guess what? The pain went away and he had more range of motion than he did before! Amen!

4) One of my good friends John had a bad headache last night and had to help take
care of his kids and finish his homework at the same time. Just like Jesus I had compassion
for him and prayed for him. The pain left instantly and he was like, “You guys don’t even understand, the pain is gone.” I was so pumped!

These are just a few of the one’s I can remember. I hate to forget
what God has done that’s why I’m scribbling these down here.
The Jews did the same thing by building piles of rocks whenever
God did something significant for them. Then they would recall the
stories to their kin whenever they would pass that place again.

God wants to touch his kids.
Jeremiah 29:11 His thoughts toward us are good, they are full of hope…

I am excited for this time in my life. I’m excited to be part of the Kingdom
of God. I’m excited to sluff off the bonds of legalism and dead religion and
move into the glorious inheritance prepared for us!

Love you all,
-jer

God IS good ALL the time.

So, another rad day in the Kingdom.

So, I’m at work, and I go on my lunch break.
There’s a lady in the break room and my first
thought is, “aw man, I was hoping I could chill
alone and read or get on the phone”

I lay my bible on the table so I can get a fine
beverage. And she asks, “So, what church do you
go to?” I tell her I go to Living Hope. She says,
“Oh, me too.” So that’s kind of funny.

We start talking and she’s telling me about her life
and how her son is in prison and asks if I can pray
for him. God has been awesome in increasing my
boldness, so I offered for us to pray together right there.

So we join hands and pray in the breakroom of my work.
Later she tells me that she also is suffering from some
kind of post traumatic stress deal because of a bank
robbery that she witness to. So God used me to bring
peace to her whole person by His Spirit as I laid a hand
on her shoulder and asked for His Shalom peace to
overtake her. We could both feel the change in her.

I only want to give away what God has given to me.
I wanna be a river, not a lake.

And if you want to back up to last night…
We had a sweet time at the big tent in
front of LHC. People gathered to pray
and worship. Two people were healed of
pain in their bodies after prayer and laying hands.

God is preparing this church for a big shift.

Back to today: I want to learn how to listen
more and obey more. so today God gave me the
feeling that I should go to Fred Meyer and look
for someone to pray for.

I find a lady in a wheelchair on oxygen and prayed
for her. She appreciated it and said that she
believed in prayer. I know that she was touched
that a stranger would care enough to pray for her.

I am not tooting my own horn here. I want to encourage
my friends and anybody who is reading this that God
wants to use us to do great things. Things that we see
Jesus doing in the Bible, and greater things. I’m just a
guy who is hungry for that to happen. Are you hungry?

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Matthew 5:6

You are my strength and my shield.

All my strength is in you, Lord.
All my trust is in you, Lord.
My life is totally yours.
I can’t even worship you without your help.

I love you Jesus.

He's good.

Jesus is so good.

Today Jesus did the following:

-Gave me the opportunity to feed and hang out and pray with tom, a homeless dude.
-Told me that he loved me.
-Used me to heal some kind of ovarian cancer.
-Spoke through me into other people’s lives, with words and images he showed me.
-Encouraged me through my friend’s words. (thanks rob)
-Confirmed his goodness / sense of humor with his Word, that I opened to, and seemingly randomly picked out —> (psalm 101)

So, I love him. And he loves me more than I know.

What Jesus is doing today:

The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Which means we should be able to see him doing the same things today
that he did in the Bible. For instance…

A couple weeks ago a woman came to the Wednesday night prayer meeting
at the Orchards campus of Living hope. She told the prayer team that she
needed prayer for a cyst on her ovary to be healed. They didn’t know all the details but
The team then prayed for Jesus to completely heal her.

Soon after that meeting she went to her doctor to get an MRI scan of the area
to see what was going on. The results of the scan were confusing to the doctors.
The scan came up clear; there was no cyst anymore. Fortunately there was a
nurse on duty who knew Jesus and explained to the doctors that it was Him that
healed her.

The cyst had been about the size of a “grapefruit”.

This is just one example of what Jesus is doing today.
