Blessed (In a wierd way)
Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
So I was blessed today, in a deeper and wierder way that usual (for me anyway)
I usually bring my bible to work and lay it on one of the tables in the break room. When I have a 10 minute break I can munch on something and read a little bit here and there. I also leave it there because I know that it can often spark something in people or start a conversation.
Well, I came back into the break room after my shift was over and was looking around for my bible. It wasn’t on the table, it wasn’t on top of the vending machines. Then I had a feeling I knew where it was, so I checked and I was right.
There it was in the garbage, with a large section torn. It was laying open with stuff on top and juice or whatever spilled on it.
I was instantly kind of sad about it and a little mad. But the more I thought about it the more I saw it as a blessing that I haven’t really gotten to experience before. The blessing of persecution and being counted worthy of it. It also gave me so much more of an appreciation for the Word of God and more of a resolve to spread the news about God’s love for people.
I’m praying that God will highlight to me the person who did it so I can forgive them and really show them that love. I really believe that God will use this for his Glory.
LOVE,
